Tax Planning Advice

When we prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses, we always like to discuss not only the results from that filing, but also what might be done to improve the taxpayers situation in the future.

Ideally, our clients come to us before they make a decision. Sometimes there are tax implications and sometimes there are none. However, it is prudent to give us a call at no charge to ask whether some planning should be undertaken.

Bookkeeping Advice

Over the many years that we have been practicing bookkeeping, we have used many different types of accounting software, not to mention paper ledgers.

We would be pleased to work with you in the process of deciding which software might be best suited to your situation, which could include:

  • An Excel template to track revenues and expenses for a proprietor
  • Online accounting programs, such as Quickbooks Online, Xero, Kashoo, Freshbooks and others
  • Desktop accounting software, in order to manage more sophisticated requirements, including managing inventory, job costing, and specialized reporting.

We are also pleased to work with you on managing the transition to the new software. We can do the planning, installation, setup the chart of accounts and other information, and provide you and your staff with training.

Business Coaching

Randy Larson, our founder, has created, built out and sold 8 businesses in different industries. He has gone through all of challenges presented in start-up companies, as well as growing existing organizations to move to the next level.

We can provide one-on-one coaching to address specific issues.

However, experience has taught us that the best first step is to do a Needs Assessment to determine your goals and the challenges that are impeding the attainment of those goals.

Then, we will collaborate with you and your team to create a plan, which should be for a minimum of 1 year, and preferably 3 years. In order to maximize the chances of success, we recommend entering a contract for a year so that we can continue to support and guide you.
